Terms Of Trade

The following Terms of Trade apply to services provided by Broughton Vets Limited trading as Horse and Cat Vet to its clients. By signing, you hereby agree to the Terms and Conditions of trade as stated:

1. Any changes to the Terms and Conditions of Trade need to be agreed to in writing by both parties.
2. No staff member of Horse and Cat Vet may agree to any terms other than as written in this contract.
3. Prices include GST unless otherwise stated.
4. Prices quoted for services may be adjusted from time to time and the client hereby agrees to pay any such adjusted price, e.g in instances where cost of goods increases, government surcharges increase, errors or omissions by Horse and Cat Vet or its representatives.
5. Unless otherwise agreed, all services shall be paid for on the date of service.
6. Payment shall be accepted in the form of cash, direct debit or direct credit.
7. Where it is agreed that payment need not be paid on the day of service, it shall be paid within 2 weeks of invoicing, or as has been arranged with Horse and Cat Vet.
8. Horse and Cat Vet may withhold further provision of service where there is any outstanding amount due.
9. Where clients are in breach of agreed payment terms, debt collection agency costs and/or legal proceedings may follow.
10. Interest may be charged on overdue accounts (2.5% compounded per calendar month) by Horse and Cat Vet.
11. Costs incurred to recover outstanding monies will be charged to the customer. 
12. Termination of the contract may apply where there is non-payment without prejudice to any claims Horse and Vet Clinic may possess. 
13. The client authorises Horse and Cat Vet to collect, retain and use personal information about the client for the purposes of assessing the client’s creditworthiness. The client authorises any other company or person to provide Cat and Horse Vet with any information of the type referred to above that may be requested of them.
14. No refrigerated goods supplied by Horse and Vet Clinic may be returned for credit. Other non-refrigerated goods may only be returned for credit with the agreement of the practice. 
15. A veterinary nurse or technician may appropriately work within their training at Horse and Cat Vet. This could include, but not limited to, monitoring anaesthesia, nursing care, drawing lab samples and more.
16. The expectation for provision of After Hours (Emergency Cover) for Horse and Cat Vet, is that the client has been under our care and seen within the last 2 years. We may choose to offer After Hours Care for non clients but this is at our discretion.
17. Supply of goods for personal use will be covered by the Consumer Guarantees Act 1993.
18. Variations to the Terms of Trade may occur from time to time and Horse and Cat Vet will notify the customer by way of invoice – receipt of which shall be deemed to be accepted by the client.
19. Under the Privacy Act 2020, Credit Reporting Privacy Code 2020 – Horse and Cat Vet may disclose my personal information in order to provide credit references to other agencies that request them and for debt collection, repossession, credit reporting and other similar purposes.

We state that by accepting service with Horse and Cat Vet that they are accepting these terms and conditions. In the event of non-compliance with this agreement, we reserve the right to refer the matter to a debt collection agency. You, as the named applicant, will be liable for any additional costs or fees associated with this process.
